UCPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Contractual Gains. These wins have been ratified by UCPEA members, and approved by the Board of Trustees and the CT Legislature.

The Union Wire is bringing back the “Contract Corner” column. The goal is to explain contractual benefits without all the legalese. We will be starting with some of the contract articles with the most substantive changes in the new iteration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. What better way to start than to review the key points of Article 32, the Salary Article.  

This year our union passed some small but mighty changes to our constitution and approved a resolution that affirms and defines our solidarity with our immigrant neighbors.

Congratulations to the UCPEA Unionists of the Year, Daniel Lis and Harrison Goodale, Advocacy Awardee, Christianne Smith and Campus Connection Awardee, Kimberly Miller. We hope their stories inspire others.

Starting July 8, the UCPEA Produce Swap returns, giving members a chance to share or trade extra garden produce. Membership Services is also launching a new Craft Swap, an eco-friendly event where sewers, knitters, painters, DIYers, scrapbookers, jewelry makers, and other crafters can exchange supplies and creative materials.

The UCPEA Book Club is launching this July! The book club will meet virtually on the third Wednesday of each month to discuss books and connect with colleagues. Whether an avid reader or simply looking for an enjoyable conversation with fellow members, we welcome you to join!
