The next scheduled rally is the SEBAC Recruit, Retain,and Reinvest event at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford on Thursday, March 12th, at 5:00pm.
 

UCPEA Members! We have an awesome opportunity to sit down with our local legislators and discuss what we need. And even better; there is food involved!
 

The second UCPEA Contract Town Hall took place February 9, 2026. 

The Connecticut Freedom to Learn Coalition (FTL) is made up of educators, faith, labor, and civil rights organizations working to protect the freedom to learn in Connecticut. Over 30 organizations have signed on to a letter to legislative leaders including CSU AAUP, Trinity College AAUP, and the UConn Graduate Employee & Postdoc Union. Groups are united in the belief that every student deserves schools where they can ask questions, explore ideas, and learn truthful history. FTL was formed in response to an omnibus education bill that the CT Legislative Education Committee is set to vote on this session.

The Labor Movement hasn’t always been inclusive, yet the Black community has, and continues to lead the way for worker rights. In recognition of Black History Month, please take some time to learn about Black labor leaders past and present.
