UCPEA Sponsored Scholarships for Dependents of Members

UCPEA offers four $1,000 scholarships to children who are dependents of UCPEA members.
The Sandy Schulte Memorial Scholarship is given in remembrance of UCPEA founding member, Sandy Schulte and is open to dependents of UCPEA members who are high school seniors, at least 17 years old, and will be full-time matriculating students at a 4-year institute of higher education during academic year 2023-2024. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement and community and school involvement.
The Austin Leadership Scholarship is given in recognition of the leadership of former UConn President Philip Austin, celebrating the outstanding working relationship he fostered with the UCPEA during his tenure. This $1,000 scholarship is open to dependents of UCPEA members who will be full-time matriculating students at UConn during the 2023-2024 academic year and is awarded based on academic achievement and leadership skills displayed in the community and at the University of Connecticut.
The UCPEA Scholarship is open to dependents of UCPEA members who are high school seniors, at least 17 years old, whose planned course of study or training after graduation, includes attendance at a vocational or technical school, community college or certification program with the goal of attaining a certification, credential or 2-year degree. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to two applicants ($1,000 for each recipient) based on academic achievement and community and school involvement.
